Trace Luxe Hair Care Guide

General Tips

-Co-Wash First: Always co-wash (conditioner only) your hair before installing or wearing. This helps to cleanse and hydrate the strands.

-Use Sulfate-Free Products: Choose moisturising, sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners to preserve the natural luster of your hair.

-Detangle Gently: Use a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush, starting from the ends and working your way up. Always detangle when damp with conditioner or leave-in spray.

-Air Dry: Allow your hair to air dry on a wig stand or hanger. Avoid excessive heat from blow dryers unless using a diffuser on low heat.

Raw Hair & Bundles (Installed or Loose)

-Hydrate Weekly: Deep condition at least once a week to keep strands soft and manageable.

-Night Routine: Wrap hair in a silk or satin scarf, or use a bonnet to reduce friction and tangling.
Minimal Product Build-Up: Avoid heavy oils or creams. Use a light serum to add shine if needed.

-Straight Hair: Use heat protectant before styling. Flat iron on low to medium heat.

-Curly or Wavy Hair: Refresh curls with a spray bottle of water + leave-in conditioner. Scrunch to define.

Wigs (Lace Front, Closures, Custom Units)

-Store Properly: Keep wigs on a mannequin or wig stand when not in use to maintain shape.

-Wash Every 10-15 Wears: Use lukewarm water and gentle shampoo. Rinse thoroughly and deep condition.

-Avoid Alcohol-Based Products: These dry out the lace and hair fibers.

-Tweeze and Bleach with Care: For customisations (bleaching knots, plucking hairlines), always protect the integrity of the lace and hair strands. Less is more.

-Secure Gently: Avoid glues or adhesives that cause tension. Opt for wig grips, adjustable bands, or glueless install methods if possible.
